Bathroom Marmoleum Flooring

Bathroom Marmoleum  Flooring

So you have a home renovation project at home you need to complete, and are trying to determine what type of underlayment to use for your bathroom flooring. What are the options as a basement subfloor on it's own marmoleum is probably the best material, but overlaid over concrete or another material that is already existing you'll probably find you have no problems. You shouldn't have any major concern you'll have with laminate an underlayment is that it has been known to collect moisture and this can cause it to warp, or unwanted expansion and shrinkage. So this is the negative side of using laminate. If you're wondering what the positive side of ;a,omto is, it's probably it's cost effectiveness, lets face it. Laminate is probably one of the cheapest materials out there.

Can you use the other pads? Yes, but the response time will be slower. This means, if someone opens the windows or doors in the winter and the house gets cold, the response time to bring the temp back up to normal conditions will take a little longer if the heat has to fight its way through the underlayment. Having said that, we have confirmed with numerous customers that radiant heat works fine with cork flooring or marmoleum click flooring, both of which have cork underlayment built into them.
